2. A brief introduction
Lighting is one of the most important aspects of any
vehicle, particularly of a car, which helps you
traverse long distances safely, especially when
visibility is low either during nighttime or the foggy
winter season.
Hence, it is pertinent to ensure that your vehicle is
equipped with the best of lighting facility. The latest
rage in car lighting is car LED lights. LED stands for
Light Emitting Diode. These are sources of
illumination, which you can place both inside and
outside your vehicle as per your requirement.
5. The Headligths
to be used interchangeably in informal
discussion, headlamp is the term for the device itself,
while headlightproperly refers to the beam of
light produced and distributed by the device.
Other vehicles, such as trains and aircraft, are required to
have headlamps. bicycle headlamps are often used on
bicycles, and are required in some jurisdictions. They can
be powered by a battery or a small electrical generator on
the wheel.
7. Stop lights
For something like 80 years, a traffic light was an ordinary
incandescent light bulb mounted behind a colored glass
lens. Then, in 1999, LED signal lights began appearing at
street corners; the light bulb was replaced by an array of
small light-emitting diodes shining through a diffusing lens.
LEDs are more efficient than incandescent bulbs, and they
last longer. Moreover, having many LEDs instead of one
tungsten filament offers the safety advantage of a gradual
failure mode. As I wrote in my Field Guide to the Industrial
Landscape: “If one small emitter burns out, the rest
continue to shine.”
9. Turn signal lights
Part of safe driving is letting the other drivers
around you predict what you will do. Using
your turn signals is not difficult, and it's
generally required by law whenever you
make a turn or change lanes. Providing a
signal to turn to other drivers, both in front
of you and behind you, is to communicate to
them, your intentions to change lane or
directions. Communications is an effective
tool to help prevent most accidents from
happening.
