3. Ross was born in Paniqui, Tarlac on June 16, 1944. He is the first child of Felix and Lydia Sibal. His real name: Baby Rossauro at Paranaque Beach, Manila Felix Rosauro Villadolid Sibal, Jr .

8. The “KUYA” Ross is the eldest in a family of seven children. His brothers are: Jorge (Dean, UP SOLAIR), Oscar (UP, CPA Virginia USA) and Nicolas (U of Maryland Architect, Piedmont USA). His sisters are: Lilia (UP HE, ECE Virginia, USA), Evelyn (UP-PGH BSN, PWU BSRN, UC Davis MA School Nursing Sacramento USA), and Alice (UP BS Psych, Univ. of Guelph MA Applied Child Psychology, Miriam College PhD cand.)
11. Ross’ grandfather Dr. Deogracias Villadolid hailed from Nasugbu, Batangas. He was a scientist and professor at UP Los Banos. He served as Director of Fisheries.

13. Deogracias and his wife, Restituta had 5 children: Ross’ mother, and uncles: Leland, Oscar, Doy and Herminio.
14. Ross’ grandmother Restituta grew up in Bay and Calauan, Laguna. She finished at the Colegio de Santa Isabel in Manila. Lola Resti became “Reyna Elena” and was also Miss Calauan in the May 1917 Fiesta de Mayo .
21. Until Ross was 5 years old he often stayed with his extended family comprising of grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins in Paniqui.

24. As a child, Ross liked going to school and showed strong leadership qualities. He also liked to play “dress-up” as a soldier. He liked playing assorted games with his neighbors.
25. ACE STUDENT Ross studied Grade One at the Paniqui public school when he was only 5 years old, in order to accompany his older cousins. He ended up at the top of his class, so he was promoted to Grade Two right away. He was the youngest and the smallest boy in his class.
26. From Paniqui, Ross moved to Sta. Ana Elementary School where he finished Grade Six.
29. Ross entered UP Diliman, intent on pursuing a degree in Engineering. In his third year, he decided to join the Philippine Military Academy and graduated with the class of 1967.
30. In their early teen years, Ross, Lily, Lyn and Jorge helped their mother operate the small cafeteria inside the AFP Supply Center (known as Base Shop) at Santolan Road (now Bonnie Serrano Avenue). Ross, Lily, Lyn and Jorge peddled snack items pushing a kareton .
