Train ride through time
- 1. This show includes images from the years 1850 to 1945. These photographs present a unique view of our past. I included some text with a pinch of humour.
- 2. "Take the 'A' Train" is my choice of background music for this presentation. It is a jazz standard by Billy Stravhorn that was the signature tune of the Duke Ellington orchestra. It is arguably the most famous of the many compositions to emerge from the collaboration of Ellington and Strayhorn. It was recorded on Feb 15 th , 1941.
