2. Xener
NGN Solutions
Xener Systems has helped top-tier carriers in Korea and Asia migrate from legacy networks to IP-
based networks for lower cost, higher bandwidth, scalability, and new multimedia services. Xener
Softswitch networks support nearly 5 million subscribers.
IP Class 4 Solutions
With legacy telephone switches facing costly end-of-life upgrades for only limited functionality enhancements,
carriers have been migrating their long-distance (Class 4) networks to packet-based NGN technology.
Long-distance services require resellers and carriers to use highly reliable systems with various routing features.
Xener has provided carrier-grade reliability as well as a full set of routing features, such as source based routing,
TOD type routing, least cost routing (LCR), etc.
Primary Rate Interface (PRI) and Enterprise Trunking Solutions
As communication has become global, enterprises have sought better ways to have their workers stay connected.
Maintaining access to co-workers in far-flung places with a host of devices from PBXs to mobile phones is no easy
task. Xener provides telephone service providers with compelling solutions for their enterprise customers. Xener
offers an economical and scalable platform for PRI and enterprise voice services, while also enabling an evolution
strategy for other applications, such as enhanced IP-based applications.
Class 5 NGN Solutions
Xener’s NGN solutions enable carriers to deliver mission-critical voice services without making an additional
investment in traditional Class 5 telephone switches, while also enabling a risk-free migration strategy for such
applications as packet tandem and enhanced IP-based applications.
In addition to supporting NGN protocols such as SIP, H.248, and MGCP, Xener’s Class 5 solutions support
traditional Intelligent Network(IN) and Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) services without requiring additional
hardware or software. Xener’s solutions can be pre-provisioned to support the numerous SCP-based services
such as caller ID, three-way conference, anonymous call rejection, etc.
3. Comprehensive
NGN solutions
Xener offers the best-of-breed carrier-grade NGN core network solutions, including
Softswitch, Signaling Gateway, Network Management System, Media Server, Application
Server, etc. Xener’s solutions accommodate the diverse requirements of customers who
plan to newly launch NGN services, migrate from PSTN to VoIP, scale up the existing
NGN services, replace the existing services with more reliable and customizable
systems, or introduce value-added services for a higher average revenue per user.
X-SSW(Softswitch)
X-SSW offers the broadest range of features for handling core
packet telephony protocols such as MGCP, Megaco/H.248,
H.323 and SIP. Migration to packet telephony systems must
occur in stages. X-SSW’s versatility, comprehensive features,
and high performance allow for such a migration.
X-SSW can handle not only calls for basic and IN services but
also calls based on diverse types of protocols, functioning as
a hub to communicate with other external packet telephony
networks.
X-SG(Signaling Gateway)
X-SG enables service providers to deliver new enhanced
services by leveraging the inherent intelligence and flexibility of
the Signaling System #7 (SS7) while offering a highly scalable
platform which can accommodate increasing call traffic. X-SG
interfaces the Softswitch and the SS7 network. X-SG’s
functions include PSTN call completion; SS7 database access
for processes such as Universal Access, toll-free calling, and
Caller I.D.; and management of Service Control Point (SCP) and
other databases for advanced network services.
X-NMS / X-TMS (Network Management
System / Terminal Management System)
X-NMS / X-TMS are integrated system and terminal
management applications. They offer facilities to manage
faults, configuration, performance, statistics and
security for both VoIP systems and terminals. They help
maximize operational efficiency by providing an easy-to-
use GUI and various access methods.
4. X-MS(Media Server) X-VG(Video Gateway)
X-MS is a carrier-class media server with support for open X-VG is a key network element for signaling interworking and
protocols, flexible software architecture and media conversion between 3G-324M and H.323/SIP, bridging the gap
processing resources. X-MS, interworking with Xener’s SIP- between mobile networks and wireline (IP/SS7) networks.
based Application Server, enables service providers to deploy It supports real-time bi-directional video telephony and
traditional enhanced telephony applications such as streaming sessions between 3G mobile handsets and IP-based
conferencing and messaging services, as well as next- video terminals, network cameras and messaging systems.
generation services such as voice portal.
X-LS(Location Server)
X-LS provides the number portability (NP) features to
accommodate the regulatory requirements of each country. In
service environments where multiple call control systems with
complicated dial plans are used or NP is applied, X-LS registers
and manages the subscribers’ location information, enabling
efficient session processing by location-based call handling.
