1. To My Children… To My Children…
I surround you every day As I inhale the fumes you leave me
Giving you fresh air to breath and I choke and gasp for air
clear waters to bath in
I’m sure you don’t mean to harm me
Yet to reward me by throwing your
But I’m fading every day
trash in my rivers
My rivers are polluted
And filling my air with smog
My animals are suffering
I can only sustain life
My air is smoggy
As long as you start to care for me
My skies cloudy with smog
Please teach your children to love
me
