I've noticed a lot of Facebook Pages still have the old ugly urls: Facebook.com/pages/Your-Business-Name/488118616611
Claim your Facebook Page vanity url (or username) today in 6 easy steps!
2. What is a Facebook Vanity Url?
A Facebook Vanity Url looks like this:
Facebook.com/Team3Media
As opposed to this:
Facebook.com/pages/Team-3-
Media/289351141
3. Why is this better?
•It’s more readable and takes up less space (for
print).
•It’s easier for the search engines to read.
•It’s easier for people to type in.
9. Step 5: Your Vanity Url
• Type in your business name (e.g. YourBusiness) in the box that says
“Enter desired username”.
• You can only use letters, numbers, and periods.
• Tip: Use Titlecase to make it more readable.
• Ex: Team3Media vs. team3media
• Then click “Check Availability”.
10. Step 5a: If It is Not Available…
It will say “BusinessName not available” right below where you typed.
Repeat Step 5 until you see the box on popup on Step 6 (next slide).
11. Step 6: If It is Available…
You will see the box to the right.
Click “Confirm”.
