Spolchemie is a Czech chemical company with over a century of tradition and 750 employees. It has a geographically advantageous position in Central Europe. While it saw decreased demand and cash flow issues during the global crisis, it implemented a short-term recovery plan that optimized processes, restructured staffing, regained lost market share in Europe, and resulted in increased revenue and cost savings within 8 weeks to overcome the cash issues. Spolchemie's future remains bright due to its focused European marketing, diverse portfolio including green technology, and efficiency improvements established during the crisis recovery project.

Here the story begins in 1856. The company developed as the most important chemical firm in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. When Czechoslovak Republic was estableshed in 1918, moayt of the chemistry in the new state was linked with Spolchemie. After WW II Spllchemie became the state-owned company. Spolchemie has been a joint stock company again since early 90ies. Viachem Group is the majority owner.
