2 Basic engineering
An important result of the basic engineer-
ing is a reliable determination of the in-
vestment budget and preparation of the
necessary permit application.
During process engineering, computer-
aided tools to simulate the planned plant
or plant parts are used. Based on the simu-
lation, flowcharts are developed and the
individual design of the different equip-
ment parts is executed.
To complete the basic engineering, the
client receives a plant design with con-
struction planning, equipment lists and
permit application, as well as a cost esti-
mate for improving the investment
budget.

3 Detail engineering
The weyer group is neither tied to a plant
construction company nor a system or
equipment supplier. This ensures our in-
dependence and, upon completion of the
detail engineering, gives the client the
assurance of awarding a really cost and
benefit-optimized project.
During detail engineering, the weyer
group prepares the complete tender docu-
ments, both for the construction and the
process part. Depending on the client’s
or project requirements, the tender docu-
ments are detailed to a lesser or greater
degree. Typically, 3D computer models
of the planned plant are prepared. These
models form the basis for piping and hu-
man interface design.
The weyer group provides support from
procurement up to award of the contract.
During erection, our site managers super-
vise construction progress with respect to
the schedule and the quality requirements
to ensure a trouble-free commissioning.
4 Public-authority man-
agement
Plant construction requires an intimate
knowledge of the legal requirements of
the most differing fields. The weyer group
employs all the expert consultants needed
for the construction and operation of a
plant. Should the plant be subject to the
German Hazardous Incidents Ordinance,
recognized experts in accordance with
§ 29a of the German Federal Immission
Control Act (BImSchG) can be provided by
the weyer group.
All expert opinions lead to the preparation
of a permit application, that is compiled
by our personnel in close contact with the
permit authorities. Due to the integral ap-
proach in the individual special fields, plan-
ning changes as a result of legal require-
