Instructions for getting the OverDrive Media Console app installed on a Kindle Fire.

1. How to Get the OverDrive app on a Kindle Fire
You will want this because…
1. It allows you to get audiobooks
2. It allows you to skip the extra step for Kindle Books that require ‘via USB only’.
Step 1
1. Select Settings (the cog wheel, shown below) at the top of the screen.
2. Choose More.
3. Scroll down and select Device.
4. Change the Allow Installation of Applications setting to On.
Step 2
1. Using the web browser on the Kindle Fire, go to www.ohioebooks.com.
2. From the Getting Started menu, select Mobile App (shown below.)
3. Select Android and then download OverDrive Media Console for Android from OverDrive (This
link appears below the Google play icon, also shown below.)
4. Once you choose Agree to the terms of service, the app will automatically install.
Step 3
1. Select the top left-most corner of the screen (where a number now displays, as shown below).
The OverDrive app will appear and allow you to finish installation.
2. When you open the app, you will be prompted to sign in with your existing Adobe ID and
password, or allow you to create one at this time. (You will only have to do this once.)
3. Select the menu button (shown below) to Get Books or change your app settings.
