2. Deuteronomy 2:7
The Lord your God has blessed you in all the
work of your hands. He has watched over your
journey through this vast desert. These forty
years the Lord your God has been with you and
you have not lacked anything.
3. Prayer
Matthew 6:9-15
• 9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
• “‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
• 14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive
others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
4. Ask!
Matthew 7:7-12
• 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For
everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
• 9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him
a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give
good gifts to your children, how much more will your
Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have
them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the
Prophets.
5. You have not because you ask not!
James 4:2-3
2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You
covet but you cannot get what you want, so you
quarrel and fight. You do not have because you
do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not
receive, because you ask with wrong
motives, that you may spend what you get on
your pleasures.
7. Repentance
• “Some people have repented enough to get
into the Kingdom, but not enough to see the
Kingdom.” Randy Clark
• Time to repent for past financial mistakes
• Ask God to see if there is anything that is
hindering you receiving the provision of God
8. Psalm 139:23 - 24
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
9. 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and
will forgive us our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness.
10. Giving
Malachi 3:6-12
• 6 “I the LORD do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not
destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away
from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return
to you,” says the LORD Almighty.
• “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’
• 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
• “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
• “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—
because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the
storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the
LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven
and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store
it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your
fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty.
12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful
land,” says the LORD Almighty.
11. 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
• Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever
sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have
decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a
cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all
times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is
written:
• “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”[a]
• 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and
increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every
occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
• 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s
people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of
the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the
obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your
generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for
you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given
you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

13. Wisdom
• Everyone’s individual financial situation is
different
• You may be looking for different types of
provision, not just finances, but words of
wisdom or specific detail about how to
manage your specific situation
14. Isaiah 11:1-3
• A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the
LORD—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
15. Lacking wisdom? Ask
James 1:2-8
• 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a]
whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you
know that the testing of your faith produces
perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that
you may be mature and complete, not lacking
anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask
God, who gives generously to all without finding
fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you
ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one
who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed
by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive
anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-
minded and unstable in all they do.
16. Colossians 1:9-14
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have
not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you
with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and
understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a
life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing
fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of
God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his
glorious might so that you may have great endurance and
patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has
qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in
the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the
dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the
Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness
of sins.
17. Blessings
Watch how you speak!
The tongue has the power of life and death, and
those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21
18. Psalm 1
• 1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
• 4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
• 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
19. Numbers 6:22-27
Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, 'Speak to
Aaron and his sons, saying, "Thus you shall bless the
sons of Israel. You shall say to them:
The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."'
So they shall invoke My name on the sons of
Israel, and I
shall bless them."
