Title will be 48pt Times New Roman font, text will be 36pt. Instead of putting icons on your desktop, Mac gives you the dock. MLTI puts it’s favorite applications on there, but you can customize the dock however you like by adding and removing icons. The location of the dock can be set to the left, bottom, or right of the screen. You can also hide the dock so it disappears when you don’t need it. You can see what applications are open because they have a blue light below them. All open applications appear on the dock along with your favorites. Links will allow users to navigate from section to section. Page will have a link to skip to the next section, and to go back to the title page. Programmers Notes:

Title will be 48pt Times New Roman font, text will be 36pt. To add an application to the dock, first open the application so its icon appears. Then control+click on the icon, select options from the menu, and select Keep in Dock. To remove an application from the dock, uncheck the option to Keep in Dock. This will only remove the icon from your dock, it will not delete the program. Links will allow users to navigate from section to section. Page will have a link to skip to the next section, and to go back to the title page. Programmers Notes:
Page of Scene: Voiceover: Storyboard : Informational Text:: 6 Finder Navigation: Finder ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],18 Keynote Presentation: Intro to Mac To navigate and locate items on your computer, Mac gives you the finder. The finder is similar to the My Computer icon on your PC. The left menu provides you with shortcuts to common storage locations on your computer like the desktop, and documents folders. You can also locate the downloads folder, and the picture, music, and movie libraries. This is very helpful because you can look by location, or by file type and find your file. Bullets will come in one at a time using animation. Picture will remain on screen the entire time. Title will be 48pt Times New Roman font, text will be 36pt. Links will allow users to navigate from section to section. Page will have a link to skip to the next section, and to go back to the title page. Programmers Notes:
Page of Scene: Voiceover: Storyboard : Informational Text:: 7 Applications Navigation: Applications ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],18 Keynote Presentation: Intro to Mac An Application or App is the Mac word for a software program. As I explained before, not all apps are on the dock. You can explore all the apps on your computer using the menu available in the left hand column of finder. MLTI has loaded a wide range of education apps onto your computer, which we will explore in more detail later. Picture and title will be visible from the start. Bullets will appear one line at a time. Title will be 48pt Times New Roman font, text will be 36pt. Links will allow users to navigate from section to section. Page will have a link to skip to the next section, and to go back to the title page. Programmers Notes:
Page of Scene: Voiceover: Storyboard : Informational Text:: 8 Applications 2 Navigation: Applications-continued ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],18 Keynote Presentation: Intro to Mac It’s important to note the difference between closing a file and quitting a program. You can close a file by clicking the red button in the top left corner. Notice the name of the application remains visible in the top left hand corner of the screen, and a light remains under the icon on the dock. To quit the program completely, you can use the shortcut Command+Q, Control+click on the program icon and select quit, or select quit from the program menu at the top of the screen. I always recommend you close programs you aren’t using for best performance, and always remember to shut down and restart your computer at the end of each day. Sections will appear one at a time, bullet by bullet. A video will be inserted that illustrates how you can close a file but the program remains open. Titles will be 48pt Times New Roman font, bullet text will be 36pt. Links will allow users to navigate from section to section. Page will have a link to skip to the next section, and to go back to the title page. Programmers Notes:

It is located in the top right corner of the screen and the icon looks like a magnifying glass. Simply type all or part of the name of the file or application you want and spotlight will find all of the closest matches on your computer. There is also a spotlight search inside of finder and Apple Mail. If you are using the web and want to find a word or phrase, hit Command+F. Sections and pictures will be animated to appear one at a time. Title will be 48pt Times New Roman font, text will be 36pt. Links will allow users to navigate from section to section.
