This document outlines a workshop on preventing burnout in college students. The workshop aims to:
1) Help practitioners identify signs of burnout and assess a student's level of burnout.
2) Through activities like "Name that Sign," make students aware of habits and early signs of burnout.
3) Instruct students on preventing burnout by having them complete a burnout risk assessment and reviewing tips for stress management.
2. Practitioners will be able to identify:
◦ signs of burnout in college students
◦ have the ability to assess the level of burnout
◦ learn procedures to prevent college stress burnout.
3. At the conclusion of this workshop practitioners should
be able to:
◦ Identify signs of a college student on brink of burnout or habits
which could create burnout
◦ Assess the level of potential burnout the student may be at
◦ Administer education on to prevent burnout and tips for
prevention
4. Name that sign!!! Presenter will identify a sign and
someone in the class will raise their hand and identify if
the sign is either a sign of burnout or a habit which
could lead to burnout. This activity will make the
students aware of habits which could lead to burnout as
well as the early signs. Each correct answer will win a
piece of candy.
