S During a present-day hospital stay patients expect
individualized treatment and higher standards of comfort
like in their homes. Today, a multifunctional bedside
terminal is available that offers TV, internet based
entertainment and social communication tools, but also
bears a part in the patient‟s care plan by integrating a
nurse call system, hotel services and secure electronic
patient record access for all caregivers as well as the
patient himself.
