LITTLE BEAR WOKE UP FROM HIS  WINTER SLEEP. HE YAWNED AND STRETCHED AND  LOOKED OUT OF THE CAVE. EVERYTHING WAS COVERED WITH A THICK BLANKET. “ OOOH!” HE CRIED, “SNOW· AND HE RAN OUT TO PLAY
LITTLE BEAR ROLLED AND  SKIDDED DOWN  THE HILL
LITTLE BEAR PLAYED WITH THE SNOW OF THE TREES
LITTLE BEAR CLIMBED UP A HILL AND LOOKED AT THE MOUNTAINS AND FORESTS COVERED WITH SNOW. HE LOOKED FOR SOMEBODY TO PLAY WITH. “ HELLOOOO!”, HE CRIED. HELOOO! BUT NOBODY ANWERED, LITTLE BEAR WAS ALONE
“ OH DEAR,” HE SIGHED. “IF ONLY I HAD SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH”.
SUDDENLY LITTLE BEAR HAD AN IDEA. HE BEGAN TO MAKE A SNOWMAN, A BIG SNOWMAN. “ I CAN MAKE A SNOWMAN AND I WILL HAVE A FRIEND TO PLAY WITH”.
HE ROLLED A ROUND BODY FOR  THE SNOWMAN
LITTLE BEAR WAS SO BUSY THAT HE DIDN´T SEE OTTER SWIMMING ACROSS THE LAKE. “ HELLO”, CRIED OTTER, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” “ I´M MAKING A SNOWMAN”,  SAID LITTLE BEAR. “ WOW!” SAID OTTER, “CAN I HELP?”
“ THAT WOULD BE GREAT”,  SAID LITTLE BEAR.
 
LITTLE BEAR AND OTTER STOPPED  FOR A REST, BUT  JUST THEN THEY HEARD A VOICE. “ HEY! WHAT´S GOING ON? EVERYTHING´S GONE DARK” “ THE SNOWBALL IS TALKING”, SAID LITTLE BEAR NO, THE VOICE IS UNDER THE SNOWBALL”,  SAID OTTER.
THEY PUSHED THE SNOWBALL TO ONE SIDE. A RABBIT POPPED UP FROM A HOLE. “ WHO TURNED OFF THE LIGHT?” HE SAID CROSSLY
“ SORRY,” SAID LITTLE BEAR. “WE´RE BUILDING  THE BEST SNOWMAN EVER!” “ YOU CAN HELP IF YOU LIKE”,
SO RABBIT HELPED TO MAKE THE SNOWMAN´S HEAD,  AND GAVE HIM A HAPPY SMILE
THEN OTTER WENT BACK TO THE RIVER FOR SOME STICKS,  AND LITTLE BEAR FOUND  A FEW NUTS WHILE RABBIT PICKED OUT  THE BEST CARROT FOR THE SNOWMAN´S NOSE.
 
THEY BUILT THE SNOWMAN TOGETHER, WITH OTTER´S STICKS FOR ARMS AND THE NUTS FOR HIS EYES. RABBIT PUT THE CARROT NOSE “ HOORAY!” THE BEST SNOWMAN EVER!
 
FOR THE REST OF THE DAY THEY PLAYED WITH THE SNOWMAN IN THE SNOW. THEY PLAYED HIDE AND SEEK AND HAD SNOWBALL FIGHTS.
THE SKY TURNED ORANGE AND THE SUN SET, THE THREE FRIENDS TALKED ABOUT THE GAMES THEY WOULD PLAY THE NEXT DAY. “ LET´S GO EXPLORING”, SAID RABBIT. “ BUT WE CAN´T LEAVE HIM ALONE”, SAID LITTLE BEAR. “ WE CAN BUILD A FRIEND FOR HIM”, SAID OTTER.
ONCE AGAIN THEY MADE A PERFECT SNOWMAN.
WHEN THEY HAD FINISHED THE STARS WERE TWINKLING IN THE SKY. THEY LOOKED AT THE SNOWMAN AND HIS FRIEND. “ HE IS THE BEST SNOWMAN EVER”, WHISPERED LITTLE BEAR.“ AND HE WILL NEVER BE ALONE NOW”, SAID RABBIT “ JUST LIKE US”, SMILED LITTLE BEAR
