2. Test no 1
Question:
Which tags matter for Google in image link?
<a href=”...” title=”keyword1”><img src=”...” alt=”keyword2” title=”keyword3” /></a>
Answer:
Google ignores:
• keyword1 in the title of the link.
Google counts:
• keyword2 in the alt tag of the image;
• keyword3 in the title tag of the image.
Summary:
If you want to use the title tag in the <a href>, do it only for users, not for the SEO purposes.

3. Test no 2
Question:
What happens if you miss the title tag for your website?
<title></title>
Answer:
In the place of the title of your website, Google can display:
• header texts – if you have H1-H6 headers on your website, its name can be displayed as the title;
• anchor texts – Google can display both the anchor text of the internal link, and the one from inbound link;
• part of the title for the home page – in case you missed the title tag only for one of pages;
• mix of elements mentioned above.
Summary:
These are only a few possible elements that Google can take into consideration while chosing what to display as the title of a page. The same applies if
a page has a very short title.
NOTICE: Watch out for negative SEO that can be done by pointing links with abusive anchor texts to the page with blank title tag.

4. Test no 3
Question:
Which anchor text does Google count if it finds more than 1 link to the same page?
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword1</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword2</a>
Answer:
According to the „first link counts” rule, Google only counts the keyword1 from the first link and ignores the other one (keyword2).
Summary:
There's no need to link to the same page a few times with different anchor texts. In only applies when links are displayed on the same page, not on
different pages on one domain.

5. Test no 4
Question:
Which anchor text does Google count if it finds more than 1 link to the same page with nofollow in the first one?
<a href=”/pageA.html” rel=”nofollow”>keyword1</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword2</a>
Answer:
Google ignores the first link with the nofollow attribute (keyword1) and counts the anchor text of the other link (keyword2).
Summary:
If you need to use the brand anchor texts as the first link on your website, you can make it a nofollow link. Then add another one with the anchor texts
that you want.
NOTICE: That has been changing over time and some time ago Google ignored both anchor texts in case it found nofollow in the first link. The
updated tests were done in April 2013.

6. Test no 5
Question:
Does Google count all keywords from very long title tags?
<title>keyword1 keyword2 keyword3 … keyword 30</title>
Answer:
It's recommended to limit the title tag to 65-70 characters (depending on the chars width) so that Google could display the whole title in its search
results. But you can set much longer title and it looks like Google can show the page even when seaching for the 26th
word in the text that contain 311
characterss.
Summary:
That has also been changing over time. In 2010 those test results were the same but in the same year Google make the limit shorter and displayed the
page only for the 18 first words and 215 characters. The test wasn't done on much longer titles so it's hard to say what the maximum limit is.
NOTICE: Even though Google will display your website for keywords in such a long titme tag, it's very risky to do that. Google may find it keyword
stuffing and punish your website.

Question:
How can you make Google ignore the „first link counts” rule? - solution 1
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword1</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword2</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword3</a>
Answer:
You can make Google count more than 1 anchor texts from page A to page B, by using „#” sign in links, ie.:
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword1</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html#”>keyword2</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html#section2”>keyword3</a>
Summary:
You can put whatever you want after the „#” sign and Google will count all 3 anchor texts: keyword1, keyword2 and keyword3. This will not results in
duplicate content, as Google will only index the part of URL address before this sign, knowing they all direct to the same page. It's hard to say how this
influence the PR passes by such links.

Question:
How can you make Google ignore the „first link counts” rule? - solution 2
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword1</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword2</a>
<a href=”/pageA.html”>keyword3</a>
Answer:
You can make Google count more than 1 anchor texts from page A to page B if you direct links to different addresses that redirect to page B:
<a href=”http://mydomain.com/category”>keyword1</a>
<a href=”http://mydomain.com/category/”>keyword2</a>
<a href=”http://www.mydomain.com/category”>keyword3</a>
Summary:
If you use 301 redirects in the way that all links above will direct to the same page, Google will counts all 3 anchor texts: keyword1, keyword2 and
keyword3. If you own additional domain such as www.my-domain.com, you can also use it.
