Weâre currently straddling a line between good and bad. The good is the benefit that social media can bring to organisations in terms of a motivated workforce and engaged customers. The bad is the gradual, or sometimes incredibly rapid, erosion of your corporate reputation. I want to discuss six areas where brands face an assault to their reputation online. In each case Iâm going to describe the issue and share a live example from the past 12 months. It would be very easy to focus on the negative and so I also want to share how each of these issues could, in some instances was, turned around into a positive for the reputation of the organisation concerned.
