Anatomy:
The word "anatomy" is the combination of two
Greek words, ana="apart", tomy="to cut".
The science that deals with the structure & organisation of
the body

Gross Anatomy
Microscopic Anatomy
3. Gross Anatomy
Definition: Gross anatomy is the study of
macroscopic details of human body structure.
That which can be seen with the naked eye

4. Microscopic Anatomy
Definition:-
It deals with the study of microscopic
details of tissues that make human body.
That which can be seen with the assisted eye

Embryology (or Developmental Anatomy):-
This branch deals with the study of
embryo, from single-cell stage to the
development of a complete human.

Surface anatomy:-
Surface anatomy, as the named indicates, is
anatomy of the surface of human body structures.
It is also known as topographic anatomy

Radiological Anatomy:-
In this branch, we study the body by using
various radiological and imaging
techniques. Eg. X-RAY, USG, CT ,MRI

Clinical anatomy:-
Clinical anatomy is the application of
anatomical knowledge to clinical practice.
This branch is a more practical aspect of
human anatomy and is of supreme
importance for medical professionals.
