4. 4 November 2009 BAPS 4 Introduction It is a socio-spiritual organization with its roots in the Vedas. It was revealed by BhagwanSwaminarayan (1781-1830) in the late 18th century and established in 1907 by ShastrijiMaharaj (1865-1951). Its universal work through a worldwide network of over 3,300 centers has received many national and international awards and affiliation with the United Nations. 7,215 weekly assemblies for men and women, youths and teenagers are engaged in BAPS. 5,400 weekly assemblies for children organized by BAPS all over the world.

28. 4 November 2009 BAPS 24 Anti-Addiction Camp 3000 young girls visited major areas of cities and villages. They met 147,226 people, of which 52,395 gave up their addictions. Motivated by books, pamphlets, exhibitions, personal letters and counselling, countless people have been de-addicted. Over 6 million people have visited BAPS mobile exhibitions and its de-addiction work has received the prestigious Gujarat Cancer Society and RavishankarMaharaj Awards.

30. 4 November 2009 BAPS 26 Some Information of Blood Donate Camps A 37-day blood donation camp was organized in 1993 in Amdavad, which collected a volume of 250,000 ccs of blood A 59-day blood donation camp was organized in 1998 in Amdavad, which collected a volume of 619,500 ccs of blood A 34-day blood donation camp was organized in 2000 in Gandhinagar, which collected a recording breaking volume of over 800,000 ccs of blood. A 37-day blood donation camp was organized in 2005 in Mumbai, which collected 405,000 ccs of blood On 12/1/2007, blood camps were conducted in both Kolkata and Amreli, generating 27,900 ccs and 27,000 ccsrespectivel In 2008, BAPS Charities organized 4 blood donation camps and collected 99,300 ccs of blood. To date, 2,908,500 ccs of blood have been collected in our blood donation camps.

The rules and regulation of BAPS does not allow us them to give the proper figure of the donation and the donors The donation which the BAPS is getting,all that fund is distributed to the each and every activity for the social welfare. The main thing is that income of BAPS is arise from donation etc. that they got from many sources. The figure of donation to the BAPS is very huge in Rupees.

Most of the people are not aware of the social activities done by BAPS as this is a non profit organization and they are not advertising in any media. so they need to advertise more that people came to know about the such activities. Also they have to expand their activities in the other states of India which are underdeveloped. so that more people can take advantage. They need to serve people by providing low cost education system so poor people can take advantage.one of this suggestion we came to know from the surveyor.
40. 4 November 2009 BAPS 36 Limitation Our area of study is limited to only RAJKOT & GONDAL. They were not ready to provide any financial information belonging to BAPS. They were not permit us to take any videos or photos. Swamis of BAPS only meet to Few minute.
41. 4 November 2009 BAPS 37 Conclusion BAPS is one of the most excellent NGO of the world. By its different activities we are come to know that its social service is very good for the society. BAPS is worldsâ No.2 NGO. The contribution of volunteers are also excellent. The social activities of BAPS towards the society are very helpful. Without help of volunteers, this type of big NGO canât run smoothly.
42. 4 November 2009 BAPS 38 Suggestions Organization has to publise their detail about sabha & satsang every month. So, every person can know the detail about these all. Organization has to put a suggestion box anywhere to improve their system with the help of people. They have to start new hospital in every small town so more & more people can take advantage. They have to provide free lunch to the poor student like AkshayPatra.
