1. Camp Doxa

2. Camp Doxa is a children’s camp. The camp is in the Victorian country side about 1 ½ hours from Melbourne. It is in a lovely bush setting. Children will use English for three days.

3. Children sleep in bunk beds. Boys and girls sleep in different parts of the building with teacher supervision.

4. Children eat their meals in the dining room. They are encouraged to speak English with other children.

5. Students help teachers to take food to the tables.

6. The meals are healthy and Halal food is always served.

7. Children can call home from a “pay” phone. Three $1 coins are needed.

8. After dinner students do English school work.

9. The camp grounds have safe in –ground trampolines. These are always supervised by a teacher.

10. Children have fun using the outdoor sports areas.

11. Children can play snooker, table tennis and basketball in an indoor gymnasium.

12. Children can practise their English when they play games together.

13. Children have their assemblies and concerts in the heated multi-purpose room.

14. Teachers take children on walks to show them the Australian trees and flowers. Sometimes if the children are very quiet a kangaroo can be seen.
