What is OEE ?

    Overall Equipment Efficiency is a
    measure of how healthy your production
    process is relative to your planned
    production schedule




                                           Downtime Analysis (a key feature of OEE)
                                           is an application that identifies problems &
                                           trends within a facility to minimize the
                                           impact of failures for individual machinery
                                           and hence maximize the effiency of the overall
                                           production facility.

          Availability % = actual running time / planned cell production time

          Performance% = pieces produced / the theoretical cell production rate

OEE is made up of three separate components that when multiplied together gives the organization a health check on how well that plant or work cell is performing against its theoretical maximum, this allows disparate plants to be compared or a plant or group of plants to be compared with each other ot worlds best practice.
