3. What is Social Media?
Social media is the use of web-based and mobile
technologies to turn communication into interactive
dialogue – Wikipedia
It’s not just about Facebook. It’s about engaging in conversation with
people who share common interest.
6 Degree Separation
Six degrees of separation (called the "Human Web") refers to the idea that
everyone is on average approximately six steps away from any other person on
Earth. This can help you connect with the right minded people.
Online is New
It’s a new world: email started in 1965, WiFi in 1999 and Facebook in 2004.
It creates many opportunities but we often don’t know how to use wisely.
We need to ask our self: what’s the purpose? What will I achieve in the next
hour while been online? Never loose track of why we are on the internet.

Customize your Facebook profile
Our Facebook profile is who you are. Any picture, text, games, comments
define you and create our online personality. The question is : are you really
who you are claiming to be? You could ask why does it matter. Online IS the
offline world. At some point, others will connect the dots and will not trust
you if your online doesn’t fit with who you really are .
Connect with the right people
