Thomas Sterry Hunt was an analytical chemist and started
becoming familiar with chromium-containing minerals. In
1857, while he was a professor at McGill University in
Montréal, he proposed the use of Cr2O3, also known as

been using it from 1862. This usage has given something

published in 1662. Shortly after Oliver Cromwell died, it was used to regret

Story 2: In 1949, a United States Coast Guard named Robert Moseley

from women. A columnist Sidney Sklosky picked up on this, and helped put

To later synchronize the video and audio

When filming a movie, the pictures and sound are
recorded separately. The picture is recorded on
film in the camera, and the sound gets recorded
on a separate tape. Because they are recorded on
two different devices, you need a way to
synchronize them.
With older manual clappers, the visual of the
clapper clapping was sync-ed with the "clap"
sound it made on the tape.
