4. Description: Family Counselors provide professional counseling services to
individuals, families and groups served by Amethyst. They are responsible for
individual and family counseling.
Level of Education Required:
-Graduate Degree in Counseling, Social Work &/or Marriage & Family Therapy, or
doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D / Psy.D)
Type of Work Experience Needed:
-3-5 years experience in chemical dependency and mental health treatment
services
-2-4 years providing Family Treatment and/or Integrated-Systems approach; able
to use activity-based &/or play therapy strategies to deliver services
-3-5 years of counseling with intense issue exposure / trauma-informed care -1-

5. Description: A psychologist obtains clinical responsibilities within the youth inpatient and day

autism spectrum disorders, and designing and implementing behavioral intervention plans.
