Statement of Purpose: These Grand Rounds are being held for University of South Alabama and Community Physicians
to increase knowledge, address competence or performance, and improve patient outcomes while conveying updated
information on relating to this topic.
Target Audience: USA Department of OB/GYN faculty, house and community physicians, students, and other health care

Professional Practice Gap: The professional practice gap was identified by use of faculty/staff surveys, IOM data,
ACGME competencies, Core Measures, Hospital Infection Control rates and National Patient Safety Goals. The format of
this activity will be lectures with visual aids and handouts.
