2. GETTING THERE is half the fun. Dr. Moises Elemino, Sec II-HH adviser, preps his pet while waiting for our designated bus.
3. BLACKIE? Not. Dragon, a cocker spaniel, meets his new friend, Queen. Dr. Elemino brought his buddy to show that we should be responsible for our pet’s health so as to protect ourselves from rabies.
4. READY FOR RABIES TALK. Dr. Elemino, a veterinarian, explains to the kids the reason we were there. The older pips are at the back of the chapel in Langub. We arrived on schedule.
5. EVERYONE BEHAVE. “Yes, that includes you Dragon .” The children and the adults intently watch the video presentation of rabies.

7. GETTING DOWN TO BUSSINESS. Dr. Elemino explains the first-aid treatment, the importance of immediately consulting a physician and putting the dog under quarantine. THE BOTTOMLINE. He emphasizes the importance administering rabies vaccination for the pets in the neighborhood for only 50php. He volunteers to do it for free on our next visit.
8. HERE YE, HEAR YE. Our emcee and II-HH pres, John Paul Putong, presents Ms. Jeremie Villarin. ALL EYES AND EARS on Jeremie Villarin, our very own UC Idol, singing “You’re my only star, my only star. Shine on babe. Shine….”
9. Free Wound Care IN ACTION. Finally, a chance to show-off their wound dressing prowess, Regina de Asis and Ralp Marinduque. REGINA SCISSORHANDS. Most of those who needed wound care are kids.
10. FOOD FOR THOUGHT. We shared a little. As they say, it’s the thought that counts. AFTER THE SEMINAR, the II-HH boys distributed juices in tetra packs for everyone.
