   of TIBE 2011
Taipei Int’l Book Exhibition (TIBE) is
considered one of the most important
Int’l event in publish industry, and in
Feb. 2011, Bhutan came in the spotlight
of this book fair.
Bhutan got well prepared in such a
short time and the program of Bhutan
Pavilion was popular and successful.
It’s all the Prime Minister of Bhutan’s
support and trust upon the invitation
to be the Guest of Honor for TIBE 2011,
which was from Sunya Int’l special-
Culture Interchange Assoc., on behalf
of the TBFF. The joy and success should
belong to each of you.
TIBE 2011 occupied
                  3 halls of the Taipei
                  World Trade Center,
                  covering 35,741M2.

                  This is Hall 1, the
                  biggest hall among
                  the three, also where
                  Bhutan Pavilion was.

Before the Opening
In the press conference, journalists showed their curiosity about
Bhutan and brought up some questions.
In the press conference, the singers from the Royal Academy
of Performing Arts sang songs for the press.
After the conference, guests took group photos. The middle in
the front is the director of GIO, ROC, the chairman of TBFF
sat next to him, and the 2nd from the left is Grace Huang.
After the Press Conference, the journalists
were eager to have the earliest report of the
Precious treasures from Bhutan and Grace
Huang explained to them.

Creative way to bring up the “TIBE” title by opening books together,
and the books are respectively in Dzongkha, Chinese and English.

Opening Ceremony
Prologue for the opening ceremony of Bhutan Pavilion by TBFF chairman and
Dasho Karma Ura. After the ceremony, we welcomed visitors with traditional
Bhutanese music.
Delivering traditional snack and herbal tea to welcome visitors. Western
people were also very interested in Bhutan’s culture, all absorbed in
appreciating the national treasures from Bhutan.

Bhutan is the Guest of Honor for 2011. The welcome board was decora
in Bhutanese way. The mascot of book fair stood in the center to welco
every one and attracted people to take photos with her.

To welcome Bhutan, the Guest of Honor for TIBE 2011, the opening
started with powerful Ten Drum Performance symbolizing the voice
of thunder dragon.
Every year, on the night of inauguration, the TIBE arranges a party to
welcome publishers and authors from more than a hundred countries.
