7. Responsive Design
Web design is changing and we should change with it
Designed typography, big buttons, vertical scrolling, responsive images
Responsive image - serving 3MB image isn't cool. There's a combination of
technologies, javascript fixesthat can suite us
Typography, forms, buttons, etc. (large button, small blue, etc)
Designing fo a different interface is impossible
- You cut cost of develop significantly
Thanks to our newly designed website, a flexible, fluid, powerful grid system...
We don't have to worry about pixels
We can also go further to make our site and app ready for retina. Retinafy.me.
8. HTML5
"HTML5 is a vocabulary and set of application
programming interfaces that make up a core declarative
language for web sites and applications."

10. Some of the most interesting new
features in HTML5:
• The <canvas> element for 2D drawing
• The <video> and <audio> elements
for media playback
• Support for local storage
• New content-specific elements, like
<article>, <footer>, <header>,
<nav>, <section>
• New form controls, like calendar, date,
time, email, url, search
11. HTML5 is a work in progess. Only use features
that are more fine-tuned...
12. Mark Zuck. on the longterm HTML5
advantage...
“When I’m introspective about the last few years I think the biggest mistake
that we made, as a company, is betting too much on HTML5 as opposed to
native… because it just wasn’t there. And it’s not that HTML5 is bad. I’m
actually, on long-term, really excited about it. One of the things that’s
interesting is we actually have more people on a daily basis using mobile
Web Facebook than we have using our iOS or Android apps combined. So
mobile Web is a big thing for us.” M. Z.
13. Realtime Analytics
Focus on not past or gathered data but real
time to forecast the future
Chartbeat, Google Analytics, Comescore, etc.
