Reunion Island emerged
of the Ocean 3 millons
years ago.
Today, the « Piton des
Neiges » appears as the
highest point of the
Indian Ocean (3071m).
When the volcano collapsed, due to the
erosion, the Piton des Neiges created three
« cirques », natural amphiteathers and
unique sanctuaries of biodiversity.
