1. An emergency case of gastrointestinal
perforation
According to Dr. Nguyen Tai Chanh, General Manager of Tam Tri Sai Gon General Hospital,
stated that the hospital’s medical team promptly performed an emergency surgery on Mr. N.V.L
(born in 1982, resident of Dong Thap province) who was diagnosed with gastrointestinal
perforation. The patient was hospitalized while experiencing severe epigastric pain.
After being thoroughlyexamined bythe dedicated teamat Tam Tri
Sai GonGeneral Hospital,thepatient was diagnosed with
gastrointestinalperforationand was in the dangerzone. The
perforationwas closed with peritonealwash followed byan
endoscopicdrainageduring the surgery. According to thesurgeons,
lateadmission mayhave led to death due to bloodinfection.
Unfortunately, perforationmay recur without propercare.
Therefore, thepatient shouldmaintain a healthydiet and betreated
properlyto avoidany complications
