Transaction Management in Database Management System
Evaluation q4
1.
2. Adobe Photoshop
• Photoshop was the programme that I used to
make my adverts and digi-pack
• It allowed me to edit the images I took to use for
the album covers and adverts
• It also allowed me to add text and other images
(record label logo) to the photos that I took
• The following slides show how I have created
some of the affects on my images
3. To get this particular effect on this image firstly there needs to be two layers of the image(can be
seen in the bar on the right of the screen shot), secondly one of the picture has to be
desaturated making it black and white. Thirdly I selected the black and white image and rubbed
out the bits that I wanted in red giving the effect below.
5. To make the text stand out on the spine I used drop shadow and outer glow. This
gave it a yellow outline making it easier to read
6. To get the red text to stand out in this image I used
drops shadow once again. But to get the image in
the back to look as it does I spent time
experimenting with the hue and saturation of the
image till I was happy with how it looked.
7. The below screen shot shows the effect on the
image on the right. The image bottom right was
the final image I used, for this one I desiderated
the image again but rubbed out the colour to get
the black and white to show.
8. Sony Vegas Pro
• I used Vegas to put my video together.
• It allowed me to edit the video clips I had filmed
and put the whole of my music video together
• It also allowed me to add the music to the video
• The following screen shots show how I edited and
used Vegas
9. This screen shot shows Sony Vegas when it is open. On the screen you see the video where your
working, the bigger box to the left is the “explorer”, this is how I got all of the clips on to Vegas,
but the clips have to be saved onto the computer before hand. The large and main part of the
window at the bottom is where the clips go and where the editing happens.
10. To get the effect that I have in this shot the
procedure was fairly simple yet the on screen
picture is very effective.
For this I simply placed the clip of the guitar
neck “on top” of the guitar body shot. But I
decreased the opacity to 50% so that both could
be seen clearly.
11. During most of the shots in the tunnel I have slowed the clips down to go with the
music. As you can see in the screen shot there is the zig-zag line, this represents the
speeding up (the zig-zags would be close together) or the slowing down (the zig-zags
would be wider[or as seen in the screenshot]). This can be done by holding Ctrl and left
clicking at the end of a clip.
12. In the shot you can see the video is in the middle
of a fade in/out (as the arcs replicate in the
bottom picture). This is a good, easy and effective
way of making a transition between shots and
shot locations.
13. www.blogger.com
• Blogger is the website that I have used to post
my video and video preparation, digi-packs,
and the rest of my coursework
14. • www.wordle.net allows you to enter text into
the allocated box and it picks out the most
used words that were in the text and make
them bigger
• The bigger the word the more times it has
been used
• I used this in evaluation q3 so I could find out
the main points in my feed back easier
15. • www.surveymonkey.net allows people to
create surveys and questionnaires and post
them on the internet
• The questionnaires/surveys are open the
public and are anonymous
• I used it to find out what my potential target
audience would want to see in my music video
16. • www.slideshare.com allows someone to
upload a PowerPoint presentation onto the
website
• It also allows people to embed them on the
blogs and social networking sites
• I have use slideshare to put presentations on
my blog, I will also use it for this evaluation
question
17. • www.prezi.com allows the used to create an
interactive presentation
• It can be more interesting for the audience as
they can interact with it
• I used prezi for the second evaluation
question as it was a different way of
presenting and was easier to show images
with the information
18. • Skydrive allows someone with a
hotmail/microsoft account to store
documents, pictures and files in what can only
be described as an online hard drive that can
be accessed anywhere on any computer by
logging in
• I used this as I needed to put my digi-pack on
the blog and it was too big an image to be
able to email
19. • I have used youtube for a couple of things in
this project
• I used it to watch music videos as part of my
research
• I have also used it to upload my videos
20. PowerPoint
• This allows a presentation to be created much
like this one
• I have used PowerPoint many times through
this project as it is also an easy way of creating
JPEG images as well as presentations.
21. Camera
• Fujifilm HS30 EXR (camera above) was the
camera that I used to shoot my video and take
the photos
• The camera is what Fuji call a bridge camera,
this means is can take high definition photos
and video, it also has a manual setting so that
the focus can be used to create different
effects
