1. Continuity task
Continuity is the idea of a continuous scene
or concept where everything must be correct.
For instance clothing, and location must not
change throughout the scene to create a
effective continuous scene
2. Match on action
• MATCH ON ACTION SHOT • “Match on action”
angle but you cut during an action to another
camera is when showing the action from the
same point in time that you left it from the
previous shot. This is important to continue
the flow of the scene.
3. Shot/reverse shot
• Shot Reverse Shot – Definition Shot reverse
shot is a continuity editing technique used in
conversations or simply characters looking at
each other or objects. A shot showing what
the character is supposedly looking at (either
a point of view or over the shoulder shot) is
followed by a reverse angle shot of the
character themselves looking at it or of the
other character looking at them and then back
to the first shot again.
4. 180-degree rule
• THE 180 DEGREE RULE ! • The 180 degree rule
is a very important concept in video and film
production. • It refers to an imaginary line
which cuts through the middle of the scene,
from side to side with respect to the camera. •
Crossing the line changes the viewer's
perspective in such a way that it may cause
disorientation and confusion. For this reason,
crossing the line is usually something to be
avoided.
