2. One I started off by looking for a font that I liked and that I thought suited the “Indie” image. I decided against using the earlier fonts as I found this one later on in the project and I found that that this fitted the Image of the magazine better. It has a more homemade feel than the styles I was intending to use.
3. Two I then used the magic eraser tool on Photoshop to get rid of the yellow round the outside then I used the pain bucket/fill tool to fill in the lettering to separate the lettering from the black background.
4. Three I then used the line tool to separate the font into individual squares. I then merged the layers so that I would be able to fill the different boxes different colours.
5. Four I then used the fill tool again to fill the two middle boxes the blue colour and then to fill the inside of the ‘D’ red and the inside of the lettering black.
