How I Created QR Tweets for #MIN24
1. How I created QR Tweets for #MIN24 @timstansky March 2011
2. Lately I’ve been fascinated with the opportunities in QR codes. Bobbie Carlton was brainstorming ways to help Mass Innovation Nights participants’ SEO efforts for our monthly event in March at the Microsoft NERD Center using www.clicktotweet.com. That’s when we put our heads together. ?
3. I created a one-click “shout out” Tweet for each #MIN24 participant using www.clicktotweet.com .
4. I plugged each individual clicktotweet.com url into www.quickqr.com to generate a free QR code unique to each #MIN24 participant.
5. I pasted the generated QR code on to a one sheet for display at each participant’s presentation table.
6. “What the Hashtag” www.whashtag.comhas been a good source to monitor our early beta efforts.
7.
8. Not all smartphone owners have a QR reader already downloaded.
9. The vast majority of Mass Innovation Nights attendees have smartphones.
10. Come to our next event #MIN25 on April 13th at the Continuum / VideoLinkoffice building at 1220 - 1230 Washington Street in West Newton.
11. As I write this, I wonder why I didn’t do this in Microsoft Tags? Some houseguest I am. My bad, we’ll make good on it next time we’re back at the Microsoft NERD Center.
12. Please send me your ideas and feedback @timstansky. In the spirit of good karma please send me your ideas, comments and feedback. We’ll continue to pass it forward.
