Tell us a little about your background and why you decided to study
in Australia?
What do you enjoy most about
studying at Taylors College in the USFP?
I was a student from Le Hong Phong High School, HCMC, Vietnam
and have always dreamed of studying abroad not only to broaden my
knowledge but also to be exposed to different and innovative methods of
learning. Through research, I discovered that Australia promotes creative
and independent thinking and is reputable for its world-class education.
I enjoy everything about Taylors College! I have made friends from all over
the world and the teachers are extremely nice! They advised me to study
at my own pace, and taught me how to make best out of my study time.
Why did you decide to take up the USFP?
USFP offers me the best pathway to a prestigious university – The
University of Sydney. It also provides me with many other skills such
as self-study through research tasks and practical experiments in class,
and the chance to make friends from all over the world!
Did you receive any awards or scholarships while studying the USFP?
During my time in USFP, I have received the Excellence Award for Social
Sciences, and Participation Awards for Social Science, English and
Taylors Action Club.
I am one of the lucky ones to be accepted into the International Student
Leadership and Ambassador Program with the City of Sydney, which
aims to increase and improve the engagement between the City of
Sydney and international students along with building the capacity of
international students like myself, to deliver community events that
engages the greater community.
Through this program, I am able to learn new skills and better my
knowledge through their courses such as Australian Government,
Leadership and Event Management.
What do you like about Sydney?
Sydney is a wonderful city with modern facilities combined with beautiful
sceneries within the city centre. It is the most active and multicultural
city I have ever seen.
What is your favourite place in Sydney?
The University of Sydney is my favourite place in Sydney. It is where
knowledge merges with beauty.
What are the 5 words that your friends/peers will use to describe you?
Talkative, active, crazy, romantic, caring.
What are your hobbies?
I like listening to music, being active in clubs within Taylors College, read
novels and hang with friends.
What are your plans after you complete the USFP?
I am looking forward to enrolling into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy at
The University of Sydney.
What advice do you have for students who are planning to come
to Australia?
Research on Australia before coming, be prepared and listen to your
heart, and you will definitely succeed.
