● Measurable So you know when you hit the goal and when you need to put in more
effort. Example: I have saved $100,000 (quantifiable).
● Time Focused Goals must have a deadline attached to them.
● Example: By 1st of February 2014
● Written in the Present Tense. Example: It is 1st of February 2014, I have just
bought Porsche Boxter S, silver colour, black leather seats and paid for it fully in
cash and it feels good.

● Precision Set goals that are precise, put dates, times and amounts so that you can
track your progress as well as you will know the exact moment when to celebrate
them.
● Prioritise When you have a list of several goals, it is important to prioritise them.
This will help you to avoid feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Additionally it helps to
direct your attention to the most important ones.
● Chunk your goals up Break down the big goals into smaller ones so it will be
easier to work on them and you will feel the sense of completion more often. If a goal
