Sure Fred and I have a lot in common, but we don’t. Fred is a devout Muslim and
I know that I’m not supposed to be unevenly yoked with unbelievers. My mother is
probably turning over in her grave knowing that I’m trying to have a child outside of
wedlock with a man who doesn’t even know Jesus Christ. I had a whole bunch of
questions about the Muslim faith. After trying to have this conversation with the Muslim
best friend I grew up with, I realized that wasn’t going to work. Shonuff, she had a fit
and wound up yelling and cursing at me.
Obviously, by no means am I a perfect Christian, but I needed to have this conversation
with Fred. I had so very many difficult questions to ask about what he believed. After
comparing and contrasting the Bible and the Qur’an, it only leads me to more and more
difficult questions.
Questions like:
1. What’s the difference between the Qur’an and the Hadith?
2. What are the studies of eschatology in the Qur’an?
3. What differences do you see in the Bible and in the Qur’an for end times?
4. Is it true that initially Muhammad believed he was calling the faithful back to a
religion Adam shared with Judaism and Christianity then he shifted away from
Judaism and Christianity and he instructed his followers to no longer face
Jerusalem when they prayed instead they prayed facing Mecca and Kasbah?
5. Is it true that Muhammad had ten or eleven wives and married girls as young as
nine years old?
6. What does the Qur’an state in Surat An Nisa 4:3? Does it mean that if a Muslim
man feels he won’t deal justly with the orphan girls he marries, then marry up to
four women?

7. Is it true that Muhammad had a Jewish wife and he married women from many
different religions, tribes and clans?
8. Do you believe its okay to beat your wife and get married to several women at
one time? Surah 4:34: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made
the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain
them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah
has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish
them and send them to beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey you, take
no further action against them. Surely Allah is high, supreme.” Can you explain
this Surah to me?

guidance and light?

Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of
the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the
people but fear me, and do not exchange my verses for a small price. And

48.I can’t quite make out the verses this man is speaking of can you? He says the
Qur’an contradicts itself because it respects Christians and Israelites as people
of the book and do good prophets, but then again the Qur’an says those who
don’t believe are infidels worthy of death. Christianity is not a religion; instead it’s
a lifestyle and consists of having a relationship with the One and Only True and
Living God. Yahweh gave Moses the Ten Commandments written on stone with
His finger and laid down instructions for our lifestyle in the book of Leviticus and
throughout Biblical scripture. Who made the laws of the Muslim religion?
Surat Hud 6:84 and we gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – all [of them]
we guided. And Noah, we guided before; and among his descendants, David and
Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus we reward the doers
of good.

contrasting the Bible with the Qur’an reads like the accuser (Satan masquerading as an
