Good Afternoon and welcome back. One of the many benefits of our school year is the opportunity we have to spend the summer reflecting on the past year and planning for the next one. I know from conversations with many of you that you have big plans for a great 2007-2008 school year. You may have allowed yourself to dream about the perfect year â one in which you would have access to every possible resource to benefit your students. But we know that resources come with a price tag. What would your dreams be for this school year if you had an extra $20,000. to spend, not only on your students but on your own professional development? I hope I have you thinking about what you would do with that extra money because I am fortunate be able to deliver some great news for Shenandoah County. Several months ago our School Board was informed that Shenandoah County Public Schools had received a bequest from the estate of Helen Moore. Since then, the Board of Directors for the Moore Educational Trust and SCPS administrators have worked to develop a process to allow the teachers and students of Shenandoah County to benefit from this amazing bequest. It is our belief that this trust can provide an enduring gift to each citizen of Shenandoah County. Iâd like to introduce the members of the Board of Directors at this time. Several are with us today and I would ask that they stand to be recognized as they are introduced. Mrs. Elizabeth Cottrell, Mrs Connie Fauber, Mr. Al Mitchell, Mr. George Sheetz, and Mrs. Barbara Weissenborn.
