Student Support Network Training A program that increase the capacity of BU students to recognize signs of distress in their classmates, to respond empathically and to persuade distressed students to seek help from one of many mental health professionals on- or off- campus. This program addresses a reality of college life by broadening and strengthening the safety net for students. Students are nominated by BU faculty and staff for their leadership qualities, their personal integrity, and their capacity to show compassion for others. Students can self-refer as well.
