4. Habitat
The Gray Fox Habitat is North America. Gray fox live
throughout most of the Canada, United
States, Mexico, and Central America, and in part
of northern South America . Some live in the far
southern part of Canada. They are the most
common foxes of the southern united states.
The gray fox’s back is the color of salt and
pepper mixed together. Its under parts are
whitish.
5. Diet
The Gray Fox eats voles, shrews, and birds. In
California, the gray fox primarily eats
rodents, followed by lagomorphs, e.g.
Jackrabbit, brush rabbit, etc. In some parts of
the Western United States such as in the Zion
National Park in Utah, the gray fox is primarily
insectivorous and herbivorous. Fruit is an
important component of the diet of the gray fox
and they eat whatever.
6. Poem
Gray fox, Gray fox
don’t live with an ox.
Don’t hit a clock
with a lock
just with a rock.
The cock scared a duck
With some socks.
Gray fox don’t hit
a pit with a kit
and don’t spit.
Gray fox, Gray fox
you sand like a red fox
And a island fox
with chick pox
