PACT http://ed.sc.gov PASS http://ed.sc.gov MAP www.nwea.org A standards-based accountability measurement of student achievement in four core academic areas - English language arts (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies. Will be aligned to the state academic standards and will include tests in writing, English language arts mathematics, science, and social studies. State-aligned computerized adaptive tests that accurately reflect the instructional level of each student and measure growth over time.
PACT http://ed.sc.gov PASS http://ed.sc.gov MAP www.nwea.org To comprehensively improve the curriculum and instruction in South Carolina's schools. To assess school, school district, and federal  accountability beginning with the 2008-09 school year.  To indicate which students have met the benchmark for the grade, and which students have not yet learned the grade-level material.

Academic progress is measured by comparing a student’s fall score to the same student’s spring score.
