2. The Underdogs Review In The Underdogs, the main character Demetrio Macias, pairs up with the rebel forces. He becomes a leader in the group and is promoted to general in Pancho Villa’s army. Villa and other generals in are portrayed very important to the Mexican people. They are all known to take money from the rich and give it to the poor.

3. The Underdogs Review Demetrio, and his men represent the peasant guerrilla forces in the revolution. The Federals, a disorganized and corrupt government stealing from the poor, break their way through the countryside.

4. The Underdogs Review Throughout the text, the armies are led by Pancho Villa, Carranza, Obregón, and by peasants under Zapata joined forces. The revolutionary armies entered into Mexico City. The forces between Villa and Carranza started a revolution.

5. The Underdogs Review The rebels, for the most part, have no idea why they're fighting, and the peasants who embrace them soon come to fear and despise them. The Robin Hood bands soon have members eager to take all they can from anyone who has anything, the poor as well as the rich.

6. The Underdogs Review Demetrio and Luis engage in constant struggle to make sure their band of rebels are doing the right thing, but as the group grows larger, behavior becomes harder to control. Difficult becomes chaotic when a goal is met, and all the country's rebels are divided as to what to do afterwards.
