I love to hike just as much as the next guy or gal. But I’ve never been lucky enough to get the thrill of hiking anything like these spots I’m about to show you here. Hiking can always be dangerous I guess, a twisted ankle, broken wrist, nothing usually life threating thought there are always circumstances that spring up … But what about hikes where you are constantly at risk of plummeting to a gruesome rocky death?

I love to hike just as much as the next guy or gal. But I’ve
never been lucky enough to get the thrill of hiking
anything like these spots I’m about to show you here.
Hiking can always be dangerous I guess, a twisted ankle, broken wrist, nothing usually life threating thought
there are always circumstances that spring up … But what about hikes where you are constantly at risk of
plummeting to a gruesome rocky death?
Kind of like the end of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when they cut the ropes on the suspension
bridge and the evil priest bounces down along the sheer cliffs and jagged rocks getting nice and tender for the
hungry crocs awaiting him below.
OK so it’s graphic … I’m trying to stir up some emotion here. Just check out these next few hikes I found that
put you in life threating situations the entire time. These “footpaths” are a thrill seekers wet dream come true,
and to be honest they pretty freaking appealing to me.
I guess you can say I’m an adrenaline junky. Anyway enjoy the post and I threw in a couple extra spots you can
check out. They may not be as dangerous, but they’re pretty damned cool if you ask me.

2. Three Dangerous Hikes That Look Incredible
1. Huashan Cliff Footpath – Huashan Moutain China
Plank walk ways and iron bars pegged in crevasses along with pathways barely wide enough for one person
make this one of the most treacherous hikes in the world. Although it’s not nearly as dangerous as it used to be
it’s still one hair raising hustle up vertical staircases to this once hermit haven turned tourist destination.
I guess after the common fatalities the Chinese government had to put their foot down. It used to be visited by
extreme pensioners of solitude such as Buddhist and Daoist. Now it’s more of a hot spot for college students
and honey mooners.

3. 2. El Camino Del Rey (Also seen it spelled El Caminito) But I’m going with
the first – Spain
Another one of the world’s deadliest hikes that’s a regular hangout and destination for climbers and back
packers from all over the world. Like the Huashan trail it’s got all of it’s own obstacle course like out croppings
and man-made footings, some of which are just simple metal bars sticking out of the side of rock walls. Can’t
say which is more inviting or un-inviting depending on your view point, the Huashan or the El Camino Del Rey?
But they’re both treacherous and both places I’m going.

4. 3. Precipice Trail Arcadia – Maine
This doesn’t look quite as bad as the previous two trails I wrote about. But I figured it could be a good spot for
those looking to get a thrill, but not one with such a high mortality rate. Maine’s beautiful country anyway so
what could it hurt to check out.
More Iron Rungs and ladders to play on, they say it’s safe for adults and kids alike … As long as the adults pay
attention and the kids take instructions well, but I wouldn’t go bringing little Timmy Two year old on a Sunday
hike here without expecting some heart racing moments.
And just to clarify these are someone else’s assumptions not mine so I take no responsibility if you take your
toddler for a hike and he/she takes a tumble. But regardless of all that it looks like a wonderful hike and a little
closer to home for a lot of you reading this I’m guessing.
Now that I got the crazy hikes out of the way, I’ll throw in a couple more cool spots you can check out I
think are relevant but not nearly as dangerous unless you’re really, really, unlucky or a moron. No
offense meant to morons anywhere.
First one’s pretty straight forward, not a hike or anything. But pretty
freaking cool all the same, the Skywalk over the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

5. Second is this awesome Glass pathway around Mt. Tiananmen in China.
Like I said it’s safe unless you fall over the railing somehow. And one of the most impressive things about these
walkways was the way it was built … By hand and no harnesses, these workers are like Spiderman,
impressive.

6. Ok I have one more thing I wanted to share with you. I didn’t really know how to categorize this but it’s definitely
something that raises the hairs on the arm.

7. I am doing everything I can to conquer each of these hazards... No matter what come hell or high water I'm
making it through each of them and I cant wait!
And of course there is a time and place for everything. Hiking is also a great way to stay in shape, and I
suggest anyone looking to try any of these hikes be in very good shape to say the least. I know this post is fun,
but these are some serious hikes. I hope you enjoyed the pics and post and I'll see you in the beaches of the
