in March 1, 1867 after
President Andrew Jackson
signed the bill.
3. Many cities in Nebraska wanted to be the
capitol before Lincoln, NE was chosen. But
before Lincoln was chosen, the capitol was
Omaha , NE. Omaha was the capitol until
1867. That was when Lincoln became the
capitol.
4. For a while, Lincoln, NE was called
Lancaster!!
