ABSTRACT E-commerce based online Bookshop using open source tool Magneto. Users can register themselves and buy the books and DVDs and checkout using credit/debit card.  The open source tool to be customized to achieve complete e-commerce workflow, Product catalog, Product Pricing and tax, Stock, Product Review s and comments, Checkout and shipping of product. This whole work flow will be connected to the online shop. Creating Interactive user interface for book shop.
EXISTING SYSTEM 		When we provide e-commerce application we need to start from scratch.  The amount of time and money is huge.  The support and maintenance of those application are pretty high and there was scalability issues. 		Implementing other popular e-commerce portal is a time consuming and costly.  Clients need to pay for every licences. 		The Conventional way of building ecommerce portal has lots of Software lifecycle activities like Development and testing. 		Bug fixing takes longtime and Software Testing efforts are more  		Deployment and Scalability issues were more.  Clients are not willing to loose money on Scaling the application is short period with more cost.  		Delay in Project execution and completion.      	Quality of code will be not persistent because of the individual developer’s      coding style.  
PROPOSED SYSTEM Magento is the most popular shopping cart software nowadays. In fact, it tops other shopping cart software as the most often searched shopping cart solution. Aside from the fact that Magento is free and available to download, with this result, it is evident that there is a growing interest, and a very big one, in using Magento.                    Its growing popularity is a result of the positive impressions that users have for its features. It has, among others, a wide array of options. It is because of these options that Magento was able to topple down thousands of its competition.                   Included in these options is the layered one page checkout. Through the use of dropdown menus, people who are viewing the site do not have to go to one page to another. This saves them a lot of time which eventually helps in sustaining their interests.  Magento shopping carts also make it possible for viewers to compare products with each other. What it does it allows customers to choose products in the online store and, once they have chosen, they could compare the chosen product with another product that the user is also interested to buy.
		Another thing that Magento allows the users to do is users could make their own reviews on their purchased products. These reviews would be made available for everybody to see. Thus, the next time people view the product, the reviews posted will help them arrive at a decision on what they would want to purchase. 		The Magento software solution makes shopping much, much easier. It allows customers to send the products that they have purchased to many shipping addresses in one transaction. Also, currency and language change is also possible, thus non-speakers of your language and those who are using a different money denomination would still be bale to shop. 		Since shopping has been made easy by Magento, more and more people are interested in patronizing an online store that makes use of the Magento shopping cart. This, in turn, brings upon big profit.
MY ACCOUNT    When a customer clicks on the My Account link, they will be taken to the Account Dashboard. This is a summary of the most important account information, including Recent Orders, the general Contact Information, Newsletter status, default addresses, and Recent Reviews. If they click Edit for any of these options, they will be redirected to the corresponding tab of the more detailed My Account page. This offers more even more account information. Account Information           Here the customer can edit the general contact information, including the account password.
Create New Account Options   Email Template - Select the template for the email that will be sent to a customer when they create a new account.  Email Sender - Designate the address from which New Account emails will be sent to your customers.  Default Email Domain - This field is primarily used during admin Order creation. In this process, the email field is optional. If it is left blank, Magneto will automatically generate an email address to associate to the Order. The format will be [Customer ID]@[Default Email Domain]. During this process there is a checkbox allowing you send an Email Order Confirmation. If you left the email field blank, you would not want to send an Order email. The automatically generated email is fictitious, so it would bounce back.  Default Group - Designate the Customer Group that will be assigned to all customers when they first create an account. This drop-down will list all existing Customer Groups other than NOT LOGGED IN.
Account Sharing Options Share Customer Accounts - When a customer creates an account in a given Store View, that account will be shared with every Store View in the same Website if you select Per Website. If you select Global, that account will be shared will be shared with every store view in every Website that you have created.  Password Options   Forgot Email Template - Select the template for the email that will be sent to a customer when they click the Forgot Your Password? link during log in.  Forgot Email Sender - Designate the address from which the Forgot Password emails will be sent to you customers
Contact Options and Emails 	Throughout Magento there are options to send your customers email notifications for various purposes, from newsletter subscription, to invoice creation. Each option requires you to select the template of the email, and the address from which the email will be sent. Each of these two aspects is configured in a different location. In addition to being able to contact your customers for various purposes, you also have the ability to allow your customers to contact you via the Contact Us feature. Address Book                Lists the Default Billing Address, Default Shipping Address (these are listed separately even if they are the same address, unlike in the admin), and all additional addresses with the option to edit each individually.
My Orders    Lists all Orders placed by the customer, with more detailed information available when View Order is clicked. Here, the order status of each Order can be tracked by the customer via RSS feeds. Additionally, if an Invoice, Shipment, or Credit Memo has been created for an Order, an About this Order bar will appear above the Order information, containing an Invoices, Shipments, or Refunds link, respectively (or a combination of multiple links). Each link will contain more detailed information about all related Invoices, Shipments, or Credit Memos, with the ability for your customer to print a copy of each individually, or copies of all Invoices, Shipments, or Credit Memos simultaneously.  Then which will open a pop-up window containing the shipment status, which Magneto receives directly from the shipment gateway.
My Wishlist  		List all products that the customer has added to the wishlist, with an option to add comments and add each item to the cart. When the customer is logged in, they can also see a quick view of their wishlist in the right column, below the shopping cart feature. Additionally, the number of items in the wishlist will display next to the My Wishlist button at the top of the page. My Cart  		Lists all products currently in the customer‘s Shopping Cart, with the option to Delete each product. Clicking on a product will redirect you to that product‘s page in the Customer.           My Product Reviews :  		Lists all product reviews placed by the customer, with and a link to the product, and more detailed information when View Details is clicked.
CHECKOUT  In order to be able to use this feature, the customer must have an account and be logged in. Checkout as Guest is not available for this checkout process, even if you have enabled it. Additionally, there is no option to Register  		during checkout. If a customer does not already have an account, they will have the option to Create an Account, which must be completed as a separate process before they can proceed to the checkout page. 		If a customer is not logged in when they click the Proceed to Checkout button, they will have the option to log in using their pre-existing account, or, if they don‘t already have an account, Checkout as Guest (if you have enabled this) or create a new account by selecting Register. If they select Register, and click Continue, they will be redirected to the standard one-page checkout page. This is the same process that previously registered customers go through when checking out, except that the First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Password fields will be blank. When all of the information is entered and the Order is submitted, a new account will be created using the information used in the checkout, including the address information, which will automatically be saved to the account.

  • 2. ABSTRACT E-commerce based online Bookshop using open source tool Magneto. Users can register themselves and buy the books and DVDs and checkout using credit/debit card. The open source tool to be customized to achieve complete e-commerce workflow, Product catalog, Product Pricing and tax, Stock, Product Review s and comments, Checkout and shipping of product. This whole work flow will be connected to the online shop. Creating Interactive user interface for book shop.
  • 3. EXISTING SYSTEM When we provide e-commerce application we need to start from scratch. The amount of time and money is huge. The support and maintenance of those application are pretty high and there was scalability issues. Implementing other popular e-commerce portal is a time consuming and costly. Clients need to pay for every licences. The Conventional way of building ecommerce portal has lots of Software lifecycle activities like Development and testing. Bug fixing takes longtime and Software Testing efforts are more Deployment and Scalability issues were more. Clients are not willing to loose money on Scaling the application is short period with more cost. Delay in Project execution and completion. Quality of code will be not persistent because of the individual developer’s coding style.  
  • 4. PROPOSED SYSTEM Magento is the most popular shopping cart software nowadays. In fact, it tops other shopping cart software as the most often searched shopping cart solution. Aside from the fact that Magento is free and available to download, with this result, it is evident that there is a growing interest, and a very big one, in using Magento. Its growing popularity is a result of the positive impressions that users have for its features. It has, among others, a wide array of options. It is because of these options that Magento was able to topple down thousands of its competition. Included in these options is the layered one page checkout. Through the use of dropdown menus, people who are viewing the site do not have to go to one page to another. This saves them a lot of time which eventually helps in sustaining their interests. Magento shopping carts also make it possible for viewers to compare products with each other. What it does it allows customers to choose products in the online store and, once they have chosen, they could compare the chosen product with another product that the user is also interested to buy.
  • 5. Another thing that Magento allows the users to do is users could make their own reviews on their purchased products. These reviews would be made available for everybody to see. Thus, the next time people view the product, the reviews posted will help them arrive at a decision on what they would want to purchase. The Magento software solution makes shopping much, much easier. It allows customers to send the products that they have purchased to many shipping addresses in one transaction. Also, currency and language change is also possible, thus non-speakers of your language and those who are using a different money denomination would still be bale to shop. Since shopping has been made easy by Magento, more and more people are interested in patronizing an online store that makes use of the Magento shopping cart. This, in turn, brings upon big profit.
  • 6. MY ACCOUNT   When a customer clicks on the My Account link, they will be taken to the Account Dashboard. This is a summary of the most important account information, including Recent Orders, the general Contact Information, Newsletter status, default addresses, and Recent Reviews. If they click Edit for any of these options, they will be redirected to the corresponding tab of the more detailed My Account page. This offers more even more account information. Account Information Here the customer can edit the general contact information, including the account password.
  • 7. Create New Account Options   Email Template - Select the template for the email that will be sent to a customer when they create a new account. Email Sender - Designate the address from which New Account emails will be sent to your customers. Default Email Domain - This field is primarily used during admin Order creation. In this process, the email field is optional. If it is left blank, Magneto will automatically generate an email address to associate to the Order. The format will be [Customer ID]@[Default Email Domain]. During this process there is a checkbox allowing you send an Email Order Confirmation. If you left the email field blank, you would not want to send an Order email. The automatically generated email is fictitious, so it would bounce back. Default Group - Designate the Customer Group that will be assigned to all customers when they first create an account. This drop-down will list all existing Customer Groups other than NOT LOGGED IN.

Account Sharing Options Share Customer Accounts - When a customer creates an account in a given Store View, that account will be shared with every Store View in the same Website if you select Per Website. If you select Global, that account will be shared will be shared with every store view in every Website that you have created. Password Options Forgot Email Template - Select the template for the email that will be sent to a customer when they click the Forgot Your Password? link during log in. Forgot Email Sender - Designate the address from which the Forgot Password emails will be sent to you customers
  • 9. Contact Options and Emails Throughout Magento there are options to send your customers email notifications for various purposes, from newsletter subscription, to invoice creation. Each option requires you to select the template of the email, and the address from which the email will be sent. Each of these two aspects is configured in a different location. In addition to being able to contact your customers for various purposes, you also have the ability to allow your customers to contact you via the Contact Us feature. Address Book   Lists the Default Billing Address, Default Shipping Address (these are listed separately even if they are the same address, unlike in the admin), and all additional addresses with the option to edit each individually.
  • 10. My Orders   Lists all Orders placed by the customer, with more detailed information available when View Order is clicked. Here, the order status of each Order can be tracked by the customer via RSS feeds. Additionally, if an Invoice, Shipment, or Credit Memo has been created for an Order, an About this Order bar will appear above the Order information, containing an Invoices, Shipments, or Refunds link, respectively (or a combination of multiple links). Each link will contain more detailed information about all related Invoices, Shipments, or Credit Memos, with the ability for your customer to print a copy of each individually, or copies of all Invoices, Shipments, or Credit Memos simultaneously. Then which will open a pop-up window containing the shipment status, which Magneto receives directly from the shipment gateway.
  • 11. My Wishlist  List all products that the customer has added to the wishlist, with an option to add comments and add each item to the cart. When the customer is logged in, they can also see a quick view of their wishlist in the right column, below the shopping cart feature. Additionally, the number of items in the wishlist will display next to the My Wishlist button at the top of the page. My Cart  Lists all products currently in the customer‘s Shopping Cart, with the option to Delete each product. Clicking on a product will redirect you to that product‘s page in the Customer. My Product Reviews :  Lists all product reviews placed by the customer, with and a link to the product, and more detailed information when View Details is clicked.
  • 12. CHECKOUT  In order to be able to use this feature, the customer must have an account and be logged in. Checkout as Guest is not available for this checkout process, even if you have enabled it. Additionally, there is no option to Register during checkout. If a customer does not already have an account, they will have the option to Create an Account, which must be completed as a separate process before they can proceed to the checkout page. If a customer is not logged in when they click the Proceed to Checkout button, they will have the option to log in using their pre-existing account, or, if they don‘t already have an account, Checkout as Guest (if you have enabled this) or create a new account by selecting Register. If they select Register, and click Continue, they will be redirected to the standard one-page checkout page. This is the same process that previously registered customers go through when checking out, except that the First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Password fields will be blank. When all of the information is entered and the Order is submitted, a new account will be created using the information used in the checkout, including the address information, which will automatically be saved to the account.
