It is a commonly held notion that a good cardiovascular workout is the best, and quickest, way
for people to lose weight. However, these days, with the introduction of many new health and
fitness techniques and equipment, there are now more efficient ways to lose weight. And the best
thing about these new methods is that they are also the fastest way to build muscle.
While treadmills have become very popular, in recent years, as the primary way of burning off
excess fat and getting a strong, lean body, they are not as effective as they appear to be and have,
also, been known to cause injury and muscle loss. Spending hours on a treadmill everyday in an
effort to get the body shape you want is not the answer. So, what is the answer?
The fastest way to burn fat and build pure muscles is to cut back on your cardio routine and start
lifting weights. I can just hear you thinking - weights? I know it seems more like the fastest way
to build muscle than the quickest way to lose weight, but, in effect, it actually does both.
Resistance training, combined with cardio exercises, will increase your metabolism and this is
best and most efficient way of burning body fat. A good weight training routine will help you to
maximize fat loss and build pure muscles, which will continue to burn fat for several hours after
you have finished your workout.
Of course, it is not just a matter of adding a few weight lifting exercises to your current training
regime. Simply going through the motions, without considering what parts of the body you are
working, and why, will not hasten your progress. The key to rapid fat loss and muscle growth is
the intensity of the sessions and the program's ability to affect as many muscles as possible.
For example, doing cardio workouts, only, will not guarantee you the results you want, because
cardio activities are constant and are generally performed at a moderate level, hence, there is not
an adequate amount of stress on enough muscle groups to stimulate growth.
Therefore, the fastest way to build muscle and burn fat is to undergo a high intensity training
program, which involves stressing all of your muscle groups to the point of tiredness. A program
of this caliber is sure to give you a good reward for your efforts and will guarantee you the lean,
muscular body you desire.
As popular as they are, cardio workouts are not the fastest way to build muscle and lose weight.
