2. Hello,
Riding on Duke’s Train from Emmy award-winning filmmaker, Ken Kimmelman, and Rise of
Dawn from Director MarieAnna Dvorak are two great film investment opportunities.
Riding on Duke’s Train from Emmy award-winning filmmaker, Ken Kimmelman is an animated
feature film he is working in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center. The story is based on a
book by Mick Carlon. Riding on Duke’s Train is about nine-year-old Danny, an African-
American orphan, living in the backwoods of Georgia with his grandmother during the 1930’s.
When, in 1935, his granny dies he heads north with just his knapsack, and one night comes
upon a silver train and sneaks aboard. It turns out to be Edward Kennedy “Duke” Ellington’s
private train! It is a wonderful, heart-warming, true story of Duke Ellington taking in this orphan
and the boy’s life working and traveling with Duke for 40 years.
Rise of Dawn is a true political love story that dramatically charts the lives of young couple who
herald from two contrasting regimes. Even though the picture opens with the historical event in
Prague, the first half of the story takes place in New York and Atlanta where everything
seemingly comes easy to the lives of our two lovers. However, their happiness is suddenly and
violently put on hold when the second half of the film unfolds. It takes place in Prague during
the 1970's after a harsh totalitarian regime is exerted. Rise of Dawn is a cinematic piece and
has the potential to last forever just as the comparable film Casablanca does.
Investment Security for Rise of Dawn: a. International Distribution; b. US Federal Tax
Incentives offers return of 50-100% on capital before revenues; c. Principals' Credits in 70

funding; e. Beautiful era pop songs from the 70’s; f. Publicity will commence upon entering into
production; g. True Life Story with Historical Theme deeply effect public perception of the past.
I am working with both filmmakers seeking investors for their film projects.
