2. MON Oct 29 – Kirby Crescent. The Lafayette River just almost reaches Kirby Crescent. This
picture taken 1-1/2 hours after our highest tide, this morning around 10 am.
4. The headwaters of the Lafayette River, normally a placid Marsh separating the Suburban Park and
Suburban Acres neighborhoods, has just receded off Thole Street where it normally passes under
Thole Street via a culvert in front of Norfolk Christian School.
5. On the other side of the Thole Street culvert, the Lafayette overflows into the Norfolk Christian
Schools parking lot. The main body of our branch of the Lafayette can be seen behind the hedge
row and trees.
10. Constant rain identifies bowl
in back yard that is future
site of Diane & Mary Ann’s
pool (behind home on
Suburban Parkway)
Stay safe and dry, everybody!
Let’s keep our friends in the Northeast
in our thoughts and prayers as Sandy
moves that way and impacts New
Jersey / Pennsylvania / New York as she
comes ashore.
