2. Solid structure Solid structure: structure made of a solid piece (or solid combination of pieces) of strong material; for example: a cement pad.
3. Frame structure Frame structure: structure consisting of a rigid arrangement of parts joined together; for example: a skeleton.
4. Shell structure Shell structure: structure with a solid outer surface (which may be rounded or flat in shape) and a hollow inner area; for example: a Styrofoam cup.
5. Beam bridge Beam bridge: bridge supported by a beam or several beams purpose: it gets things across easier then if it was an arch bridge because the arch bridge has an arch in it and it is harder to get across

7. Purpose of a truss bridge: it is light weight so it is easy to make and it holds a lot of weight so it is good for any vehicle.
8. Suspension bridge Suspension bridge: bridge only having its roadway hung from large cables supported between tall towers. Purpose: so that any kind of vehicle can get by their and it is really strong
9. Purpose of the suspension bridge used over water: because it is a really strong bridge and can stand heavy loads.
10. Arch bridge Arch bridge: bridge supp0rted by an arch or a series of arches. Purpose: it is designed to stand heavy loads.
11. Purpose of an arch bridge when its over water is: it is a really strong bridge and it can stand really heavy loads so when it over water and it is built properly it should never collapse.
