Children go through different stages of maturity as they grow up. In early childhood, they feel safe protected by their parents. As they get older, children enjoy exploring independently but without worries of adulthood. When they reach an age where they realize they must mature, some feel scared and lonely as responsibilities increase. They try to find companionship from peers also experiencing these changes. Adolescence brings many hardships and confusion, which can make youth feel helpless or like giving up at times. Eventually, children mature mentally and understand the need to become independent from parents and friends.
