MY SMARTBOARD LESSON PLAN: CLASSROOM

TARGET LEARNERS
-Italian students
-College age
-Would fit well with the curiculum in
ITL 101
WHY I CHOSE THIS PLAN
• Interactive, most days in Italian 101 we
spend the time sitting in our desks
• Encourages everyone to participate
• Promotes positive classroom dynamics
• Provides a method to ask questions
about new vocabulary
THE PLAN BASICS
• Modeled after the TV show “Family Feud”
• Formulate questions asking students about new vocab or verbs they are
learning
• Split the classroom up into two groups
• Instead of just simply answering the question, students will need to be able
to use the verb or word in a sentence
• Can use classmates for support or help if needed
UNIVERSAL DESIGN
• Students who do not learn well in a typical classroom setting
will have the ability to participate in a fun learning game
• Visual and audio: students who are both blind and deaf are able
to participate
• Encourages shy students to participate and gives them an
opportunity to add their input without the pressure
